This blog is meant for anyone who wants to learn managing their personal finances, as a guide to first steps.
So, if you’re in the first couple of years of your working life, this is for you.
If you’re feeling lost with all the choices, struggling with the aftermath of bad decisions, trying to figure out what to do, what to do first, and what to not do at all, give this a try.
This blog’s not a comprehensive guide to advanced money management, not an in-depth dive into a comprehensive set of complex financial instruments, not an investment strategy resource.
There are no deep investing insights, trading tips, chart analysis, stock picking, wealth strategy, financial management, or anything else that ends up with a Lamborghini in your garage.
I’m not going to give you a specific plan or checklist.
You have to do that yourself after you’ve seen the bigger picture.
I’m just going to build a framework, a way to handle the basics.
Create an approach through which you can get some clarity, and make a plan.
Establish some good money habits that can become a base on which you build your future growth.
If you already know the basics, are able to handle your own monies without getting in debt, walk away. This is not going to add much value to you.
But, if you do feel like you’re making bad money decisions – carry on.
We make bad money decisions all the time.
Not because we want to; we may not know better, or listen to the wrong sources and get exploited, or blindly follow well-meaning, but outdated and irrelevant, advice.
It’s not easy – there’s a ton of information out there, and it’s hard to know where to begin.
So now, let’s talk about some wonderful wealth-wasting mistakes you and I are making (or going to!) and fix them.
Let’s make a structure of how to think about personal finance, so we can figure out where we are, and what we need.
Update – The book is now available on Amazon, Flipkart and Notionpress, in paperback and hardcover. eBook version coming soon.
